BLOGGING 101

It has come to my attention that several people reading this are new to blogs and don't realize that this is an interactive media.
Please leave comments to any/all posts by clicking on the comment link on the bottom of each entry.
I am a sucker for feedback, and I currently feel like I'm writing into the void. Plus, you have a lot to say too, I think.

Also, we were asked what jim's (who is just a little bit more reticent than I am) would be. Here you go:

Carolyn has cancer.
It stinks.
All will be well.

Guess that's it in a nutshell.

Hey Carolyn,
you're definitely not writing into a void... and I have to add that I had no idea there was an engineer on this earth who could write as soulfully and beautifully as you do! ;) Radioactive Boob Woman has already elevated herself to comic book hero status!

All the best,
Sophie L.

Radioactive boob woman -

Good luck as you go into this big week. We will be thinking of you from the bottom of the world. The penguins will be flapping their flippers and swimming their little tails off for you.

Love,

Mike and Andrea

Sweet Carolyn,
I'm writing this because I really 'get you' on the feedback thing. I wrote a long response the other day but lost it in ignorance and cyberspace. Now they will go thru!
Keep writing your beautiful, wrenching, helpful blogs. They do aggravate my chronic salt water eye drainage syndrome, but they are priceless.
Love you, Guess who.:-)

Carolyn -

Greetings from the proposal center in sunny Pasadena - I'm trying to make our ESOP grow today (although the urge to go eat ice cream will likely take over by the afternoon). I am sending you positive thoughts today and every day. Today is celebration in my family - 15 years ago my nephew was born about 3.5 months early. Today, he is healthy, handsome, and almost as witty as his godmother (yours truly). 15 years ago my mother and her best friend joined the club of "cancer survivors" beating the odds with uterian and breast cancer, respectively. 15 years ago, someone asked me to marry him. 1991 was a year that ultimately redefined me as a person. 2006 is going to do the same for you and your family and in 15 years you will look back and reflect with amazement all that you have accomplished. Be Brave and Strong today and every day!

The Adventures of Radioactive Boob Woman

As we join our superhero, she has just fought the irritating PET Monster. Despite many attempts to defeat her resolve with his Demoralizing Ray, our heroine comes out as strong as ever.

“Arrgghh, Radioactive Boob Woman,” the PET Monster gasps defeated, “with your endless strength and courage, and your constant sense of humor, the Evil Dr. Breast Can Sir will have no choice but to flee in fear.”

“Ha Ha! I mock the Evil Dr. Breast Can Sir.” laughed Radioactive Boob Woman. “With my glowing green breasts and their ability to deflect all negative vibes, I will conquer this vile creature and gain even more strength, courage and wisdom.”

The PET Monster bowed in awe of this great woman. “You truly are a role model to all who know you,” he exclaimed. “Your passion for life and your strength of spirit will give courage and comfort to all those around you. Good Luck, Radioactive Boob Woman.”

And with her charming smile and defiant determination, our heroine flies off into the night, ready to meet her upcoming battle with awesome dignity and grace.

To be continued...

We love you and you will be in our thoughts,
Gisela and Jed :-)

Can't even begin to imagine how you're feeling--so it's a good thing you've written so much and you touch me with each entry. I'm still processing too and passing rapidly through all sorts of emotions at a rate of about one a second. What I'm always left with is how strong and feisty and stubborn and powerful and amazing and playful and giving and compassionate and loving you have been since the first day I met you, complete with skunk-do courtesy of T and some Windex... Was the stripe there to attract the opposite sex?

What I KNOW is that we will someday reminisce about this over a distant glass of wine and it will be only a memory.

In the meantime, I'm already planning for a head-shaving party, so send me the emails of all those you want to see bald and I'll turn my thugs loose on 'em! :) I'll be the first in line...

And starting from day one, there is a glow of energy surrounding you (radiation-free, I promise!) that is beaming your way from all those lives you've touched all over the world. That strength is with you now and always.

With much love,
benny
